Homemade Red Hair Dye

Posted on October 25, 2016 by alysyla Posted in Blog .

Fall is among us all and it feels amazing! Fall is our homemade red hair dyefavorite season, but not because of all the pretty foliage that surrounds us, but because fall is the time of year to experiment with different fall hair colors!

Although, getting your hair done by a professional is less stressful, it is much more costly. We have experimented with plenty of fall hair colors and we wanted to share with you a couple homemade red hair dye recipes that we have fallen in love with. 😆

The following homemade red hair dye recipes are all natural and do not contain any harsh chemicals box hair dye contains.

Another Homemade Red Hair Dye Recipe

Beet Me Red
This natural red hair dye recipe will leave you looking in the mirror speechless at how awesome your hair looks! 😉

Materials:

homemade red hair dye

  • canned beets made with water, salt, and sugar
  • basin or large bowl
  • comb

Directions:

  1. Open canned beats
  2. Place basin or large bowl in front of your feet in a bathtub
  3. Pour canned beats over dry hair, catching liquid in basin or large bowl
  4. Reapply liquid several times
  5. Comb hair and let hair air dry
  6. Comb hair occasionally for faster drying
  7. Apply 3 times the first week and once every third week to keep color

Make sure you buy the canned beets with water, salt and sugar in it. If you buy sugarless you will end up staining your skin and it will rub off on your clothing and pillowcase. 😡 A huge perk about this homemade red hair dye recipe is that it should not stain your skin or rub off on your pillowcase!

Although, both of these homemade red hair dye recipes are all natural, the ingredients in both are not particularly great to be left on your skin. Leaving elements that are not intended for the skin can be very damaging. There are products out there such as Epifresh and Touch that can help yield the effects of harsh chemicals coming into contact with your skin.

Your skin is very important and you should be taking good car of it. A healthy skin care routine can make all the difference in the world when it comes to taking care of your body. Be prepared for anything and get out there and take on the world with your new red hair! alys signature
