How to Prevent Bodybuilding Acne

Posted on July 20, 2018 by alysyla Posted in Blog .

A Brief History of Bodybuilding Acne

Why do we get acne from bodybuilding?  Actually a better question would be why do only some of us get it and not others?  The answer to that question is tough to give, mainly because every human is different and there is no single fix that will work for everyone.  The only good advice I can give you from personal experience is that you need to find out what your body is successful with.  I used to have acne when I ran a lot, and that was mainly due to my pores being clogged with sweat and dirt from long runs in the heat and sun.  UV rays, dirt, sweat, and clogged pores all contributed to the acne that used to get as a young whipper-snapper.  So I guess since I wasn’t really a gym-rat in the traditional sense I don’t have a ton of good information on Bodybuilding Acne exactly, but I was training very hard it just happened to be mostly for my leg muscles.  Here is a great site in regards to learning a bit more about building that sweet sweet muscle: https://musclegainer.org  I used to wash my skin very frequently, always after a hard workout, in order to keep the acne at bay.  And it seemed as though nothing was working.  The areas of my face and back I would wash always had some acne.  It wasn’t until I took a more natural approach towards my skin that i started to have some success.  I learned thru much trial and error that if i wash the natural flora off of my skin on a regular basis I would get more acne.  Then I stopped using harsh chemicals and constant washing on the affected areas and slowly but surely my acne disappeared.  My skin was super sensitive and just a good rinsing and soft scrubbing was enough to get the dirt and crap out of there so my natural skin flora could do its job and keep my skin much healthier.

What Can You Do To Prevent Bodybuilding Acne

Bodybuilding is open to both equally women and men with specialized classes for nearly every. Finally, an individual can say that natural bodybuilding is the very best. Aggressive bodybuilding is genuinely a sport in which athletes attempt to come up with and keep the wonderful muscular human body. Bodybuilders take the aid of testosterone supplements to be able to grow the size of muscles.

Once all is healed, they need to jump back in their training, not let it happen again. Normal exercise also improves blood flow, slows down the aging procedure and increases stamina. Most men and women forget it is equally as important when you’re building muscle to drink a good deal of water too. It’s highly important to be consistently doing the appropriate things if you would like to keep building muscle. Although our bodies need carbohydrates to survive, a number of us are consuming the incorrect varieties of carbs.

Men that are thinking of bioidentical hormone therapy need to see that anabolic steroids and bioidentical testosterone aren’t the exact same. Women with higher testosterone may experience an elevated libido and their elevated levels of testosterone may also bring about an enlarged clitoris, which may be irreversible, as well as a significant amount of Bodybuilding Acne. Women and men who’re intent on entering into the globe of bodybuilding should check with neighborhood trainers in their location. 1 thing I would stress is that you don’t attempt to restrict your childs dietary consumption of healthy fats.

Benefits of Reducing Acne From Bodybuilding

There are quite a few associated benefits, and we’ll take a peek at them before continuing on to the side results. My muscle gains were due to a mix of a good weight resistance program, plenty of rest, good dieting and the usage of the proper bodybuilding supplements. After forty years old, at the start of the andropause, the levels start decreasing. Elevated levels of testosterone may also disrupt a woman’s menstrual cycles, even making them stop completely.

Steroids have been put to use by sports persons to better their performance and boost their stamina, facing dire physical and legal consequences many a moment. By increasing the level of testosterone in the human body, they promote protein synthesis and cellular growth in muscles, leading to an increase in muscle mass and strength and a decrease in the body’s fat content. If you’re discovered to have testosterone in your system you’ll be disqualified from any type of sporting event you are attempting to participate in. The dosage is dependent upon the age and situation of the person.

You must seek advice from your doctor prior to taking any sort of supplement. Your physician or pharmacist will have the ability to counsel you on the variety of tablets needed in each circumstance. Bioidentical testosterone therapy differs from anabolic steroid use or abuse in many ways. It is also helpful for the treatment of specific types of leukaemia, where there’s an abnormally high number of certain white blood cells in the tissues or blood.   As with the majority of steroids, Bodybuilding Acne is a frequent side effect, and can be tolerated or treated with a selection of anti-acne medication.

Dietary fat is vital for good absorption of particular vitamins and other nutrients. Lifting too much weight may make you shed form and boost the probabilities of injury and won’t help you build muscles quickly. Water Most men and women know that if you’re attempting to lose fat, the most significant aspect intheir diet is water. Higher carbohydrate calories will enable your muscles to store elevated levels of sugar, boosting your energy so you may gruel through heavy, mass building workouts.

Final Thoughts on Bodybuilding Acne

Protein shakes increase acidic degree of the blood, that’s the reason body starts using bone calcium, to be able to retain the standard blood level. It is what supplies the building blocks necessary to repair and build muscle tissue after your workout is complete. Whey protein is the perfect post-workout protein for the reason that it digests quickly.

Keep in mind, all vitamins aren’t created equal! You should have the ability to chance upon a multi vitamin that is directed towards a training athlete, in no more than two pills every day. An excellent daily vitamin is extremely important to building a strong, wholesome body. If you’re training vigorously I would suggest taking supplements for optimal performance. Make certain you research the supplements you’re taking and attempt to discover the best price possible. A good liver detoxification supplement may be used.

If you aren’t drinking enough water, your nutrition program will be far less effective in transforming your physique. Muscle Milk consists of dairy, which can induce hormone changes in your entire body, resulting in acne. It also provides you with dietary fiber to aid in intestinal health. Soy protein powder is a significant supplement for vegetarians. There are lots of minerals and vitamins a high protein low-fat diet doesn’t include.

Homemade Red Hair Dye

Posted on October 25, 2016 by alysyla Posted in Blog .

Fall is among us all and it feels amazing! Fall is our homemade red hair dyefavorite season, but not because of all the pretty foliage that surrounds us, but because fall is the time of year to experiment with different fall hair colors!

Although, getting your hair done by a professional is less stressful, it is much more costly. We have experimented with plenty of fall hair colors and we wanted to share with you a couple homemade red hair dye recipes that we have fallen in love with. 😆

Homemade Red Hair Dye Recipe

The following homemade red hair dye recipes are all natural and do not contain any harsh chemicals box hair dye contains.

Marigold Red
This natural red hair dye recipe adds a soft looking red to light brown and brown hair.

Materials:

  • 1/3 cup crushed marigold flowers OR 3 tablespoons dried calendula petals
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • non-aluminum pot
  • strainer
  • red wine
  • basin or large bowl

Directions:

  1. homemade red hair dyeIn non-aluminum pot, add water and crushed marigold flowers or dried calendula petals
  2. Simmer over low-medium heat for 20 minutes
  3. Remove from heat and let mixture cool
  4. Strain out marigold or calendula saving the liquid

  11. Repeat liquid rinsing process every time you wash your hair until you’re happy with the color

Another Homemade Red Hair Dye Recipe

Beet Me Red
This natural red hair dye recipe will leave you looking in the mirror speechless at how awesome your hair looks! 😉

Materials:

homemade red hair dye

  • canned beets made with water, salt, and sugar
  • basin or large bowl
  • comb

Directions:

  1. Open canned beats
  2. Place basin or large bowl in front of your feet in a bathtub
  3. Pour canned beats over dry hair, catching liquid in basin or large bowl
  4. Reapply liquid several times
  5. Comb hair and let hair air dry
  6. Comb hair occasionally for faster drying
  7. Apply 3 times the first week and once every third week to keep color

Make sure you buy the canned beets with water, salt and sugar in it. If you buy sugarless you will end up staining your skin and it will rub off on your clothing and pillowcase. 😡 A huge perk about this homemade red hair dye recipe is that it should not stain your skin or rub off on your pillowcase!

Although, both of these homemade red hair dye recipes are all natural, the ingredients in both are not particularly great to be left on your skin. Leaving elements that are not intended for the skin can be very damaging. There are products out there such as Epifresh and Touch that can help yield the effects of harsh chemicals coming into contact with your skin.

Your skin is very important and you should be taking good car of it. A healthy skin care routine can make all the difference in the world when it comes to taking care of your body. Be prepared for anything and get out there and take on the world with your new red hair! alys signature

Homemade Natural Makeup Brush Cleaner

Posted on September 28, 2016 by alysyla Posted in Blog .

Making our own makeup has made for plenty of memories experimenting with different formulas. Of course every great invention couldn’t be made possible without many mistakes along the way. We wanted to share with you a homemade beauty recipe that has been very helpful in our makeup and weight loss journey.

Homemade Natural Makeup Brush Cleaner

A makeup brush cleaner should be an essential in every women’s makeup bag. Dirty makeup brushes lead to terrible things that can happen to your skin. 😯

This homemade natural makeup brush cleaner will leave your makeup brushes free of gunk!

homemade natural makeup brush cleanerWhat you’ll need:

  • Your dirty makeup brushes
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 2 teaspoons distilled white vinegar

What you do:

  1. Boil water for about 5 minutes
  2. Pour into a glass jar or bowl
  3. Add distilled white vinegar into boiling water and stir
  4. Dip one brush at a time into the solution and swirl brush around gently against the bottom of the glass jar or bowl
  5. Rinse under running hot water
  6. Follow with a rinse of cold water
  7. Re-shape bristles if necessary
  8. Dry brushes flat on a paper towel or napkin

Although you are using smelly vinegar, it will come out after the rinses and drying process; usually within 20 minutes of drying. You may use more or less vinegar in this recipe if you desire, but we’ve found that two teaspoons have worked the best.

Another Homemade Natural Makeup Brush Cleaner

If you’re not a fan of vinegar (who is?) then this other homemade natural makeup brush cleaner might just be what you’re looking for. We’ve experimented with this one a lot and not to give away anything… it has a lot of the same properties our natural makeup brush cleaner has in our store, but we’re not giving away anything or anything. 😉

What you’ll need:

  • Bottle or mason jar with cap/lid
  • 1/2 cup witch hazel
  • 2 teaspoons castile soap
  • 1 teaspoon nourishing oil, like olive oil, almond oil or jojoba oil (optional)
  • 1 cup distilled water

What you do:

  1. In preferred container, combine ingredients in order of their listing above
  2. Shake container

Viola! You have a homemade natural makeup brush cleaner at your finger tips. 😀 But now what!?

To use:

  1. Shake bottle before every use (of course, if you just made it there’s no need to shake it again)
  2. Pour some of the liquid into a bowl
  3. Place the tips of dirty brushes in cleaner and swirl around
  4. Rinse brushes with running water
  5. Re-shape bristles if necessary
  6. Dry brushes flat on a paper towel or napkin

The witch hazel and castile soap that this recipe calls for can be found at almost any retailer. We just included a link, so you know which ones we are talking about. Shop around for the needed products and if you’re thinking there’s no way you’ll use witch hazel again. Think again! There are many natural uses for witch hazel. We think every home should have it! 😎

homemade natural makeup brush cleanerMaking your own homemade natural makeup brush cleaner, and actually using it, will benefit your skin in so many ways. We had a customer come into our store that said she never used a makeup brush cleaner a day in her life and we told her the effects of dirty brushes. Once we got to the point of putting her skin at risk of getting more wrinkles, she told us that she has been trying every anti-aging and anti-wrinkle cream such as Revitol’s formula and Vivacious Skin.

That’s right – dirty makeup brushes expose the skin to oxidative stress from free radicals, which causes a break down of collagen. 🙁

These homemade natural makeup brush cleaner recipes can be made in a batch and stored at room temperature. We recommend cleaning your makeup brushes at least once a week if you apply makeup everyday. Have you ever experienced anything bad from your makeup brushes when you didn’t clean them or do you have some tips on how to clean the brushes? Let us know in a comment below!alys signature

What Harmful Chemicals Are In Beauty Products?

Posted on September 9, 2016 by alysyla Posted in Blog .

Now that we’ve got our blog up and running (yay!) we want to share with all of you why we started handcrafting our own beauty products and also some great weight lose tips! 😀 If you’ve swung by our about us page then you already have a little insight into how all of this began. If you haven’t swung by there yet we highly recommend it!

Why would you make your own beauty products?

There’s a few important reasons why you might want to make your own beauty products. Some of them include:harmful chemicals in beauty products

  • You know exactly what’s in it. Everything you put on your skin is absorbed into your bloodstream, so knowing there isn’t any harmful chemicals in beauty products you are making you can make sure you aren’t doing damage to your skin and health.
  • It costs a lot less than buying it at a store. Some of the all natural beauty products that are healthy for your skin can cost well over €200. You can make a lot more beauty products for the same cost.
  • It’s fun! It allows you to show your creative side and there are tons of recipes available you can follow. Once you get the hang of it you can start experiment with different ingredients and find out what works best for your skin. It’s also a great go to gift idea for the ladies in your life! 😀
  • You’re being eco-friendly. Making your own beauty products allows you to take a stand on the excessive consumption of our planets natural resources. As long as companies who make harmful products are selling it they will continue to produce it.

What are harmful chemicals in beauty products?

The beauty product industry is highly unregulated, so a lot of beauty products contain harmful chemicals. Like we mentioned earlier, a majority of the chemicals are being absorbed into your body. Some of the main chemicals you should avoid include:

  • Phthalates. Used in products to increase the softness of plastics. Phthalates is mainly used in nail polishes, perfumes, and lotions.
  • Formaldehyde and parabens. Used to prevent bacteria growth. Common products it is found in are nail polish, shampoos, conditioners, cleansers, and eye shadows.
  •  Proplyene glycol. Used as a skin-conditioning agent. It can be found in moisturizers, sunscreen, shampoos, conditioners and hair sprays.
  • Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS). Used in foaming products. It’s commonly found in shampoos, face wash, and cleansers.

It’s almost impossible to avoid all harmful chemicals in beauty products, but you can be aware of them and help illuminate them from your body. Researching and knowing what to look for is the first step. Also be sure to check out the EWG’s Skin Deep Database to research the harmful chemicals in beauty products that you buy regularly.

harmful chemicals in beauty productsWe never thought we would have made our own products, but while we traveled the country in the summers our beauty products took up most of the room. Most of our beauty products didn’t come in travel sizes, so that option was first to be illuminated. We tried going without some of the products, but eventually our hair and skin became very upset with us as time went on. 🙁

After returning home from our travels, we decided to do some research on how to make our own products. We spent the whole next year in trial and error mode. Eventually, we handcrafted and perfected a few of our favorite beauty products that are now available in our store.

Have you checked the harmful chemicals in beauty products you own? Have you considered making your own beauty products or already have? We would love to hear from you!alys signature
